🧼 Auckland Shutdown requires strong response from all of us
In the first lockdown, we proved how successful we can be at stamping out this virus in our community by working together to stay apart.
We’re ready to kick back into action.
Property and Facilities managers have been working tirelessly to ensure that buildings are set up well. Here are a few of the things that our community is doing to stay aware.
Strong building shutdown communications: clear steps to lockdown access to a building and strong communication to do so in place
100% Fresh Air: HVAC fresh air intake is maximised or increased to as high as possible
Cleaning consumables: Ensure that cleaning soaps and sanitisers are readily available to everyone
Getting creative: There is some incredible tech as exemplified below

🏭 An opportunity for sustainability in Industrial
The Green Building Council of New Zealand and Australia have released a report on the potential for some huge carbon and cost savings.
New Green Star certified industrial buildings produce 66% fewer greenhouse gas emissions than standard buildings and shows that a minimal 2% upfront cost to support green design can result, on average, in lifecycle savings of 20% of total construction costs.
We recommend having a read of the report!
